Hi, I'm Mukul, a Calgary mortgage broker with Mortgage Architects, licensed in Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba.
My career started in banking in India, where I spent 10 years learning how lenders assess risk, income and credit. When I moved to Canada, I kept working in banking sector, this time on the inside of Canadian lending.
That's where I saw both sides. I watched good, hardworking people get turned down because their file didn't fit one bank's checklist: a credit score that dipped after a hard year, self-employed income that looked small on paper, or no Canadian credit history yet. And I knew that the same file, presented properly to the right lender, would often get a yes.
So I became a broker. Now I use what I learned inside the banks to work for you instead of for one lender.

I explain the full cost. Rate, penalties, fees and total cost, in writing, before you sign.
